Policy 21
:-Diagnostic / Special Examination/Procedure Fees
Registration fee paid by the
patients is limited to their consultation in respective out patient
clinic and does not authorize them for special
diagnostic/examination/procedure service. Patients will have lo pay as
per the approved rates for such diagnostic/examination/procedure. No
sharing of such charges will be done with the faculty members.
Policy-22:- Exemption From Diagnostic / Special Examination / Procedure
Fees
Any exemption /concession on
such fee will be done by the Medical Director or any other staff
authorized by him for this purpose. However the consultants have the
privilege to recommend deserving cases based on economic status /
exigency of patient condition/ and or interest of clinical teaching /
research work. The recommendations will not be mandatory but due
weightage will be given for the same. The yardstick and parameter for
exemption will be as per given in a separate section of the document
and as approved by the governing body.
Policy 23 :
Admission In-Patients
Patients undergoing
consultation/ treatment in out patient clinics and advised admission
would be admitted as hospital patient either in the general ward/semi
private/private/deluxe ward as per patients choice but .under the unit
advising admission. The details of payment has been dealt under another
section of this document.
Policy 24
: Availability of Medical, Para-Medical & Other Staff
Even at the cost of
repetition, if is essential to reiterate a firm policy that a particular
speciality and or higher speciality clinic including special clinics as
mentioned will be conducted without fail on designated days / timings,
which warrants that the faculty and other staff essential to conduct
such clinics will ensure their availability on those days and timings
without fail. With full-time and exclusive attachment to K.L.E.S
hospital all faculty and other staff are obliged to be in the premises
during the scheduled hours, however what has to be ensured is that while
scheduling any other work in the hospital or in the medical college, the
scheduled clinic timings will take precedence and they will not absent
themselves on any pretext, without implicit approval of the Medical
Director or management staff deputed by him for such approvals.
Policy-25:- The General OPD will be
as the name suggests a model of general practice clinic or a primary
health centre in Government sector, where patients of all ailments will
primarily report. Patients requiring attention of any specialist as per
the nature and extent of illness as judged by the attending doctor in
general OPD. This OPD will be given the faculty support in the form of
basic doctors drawn from hospital pool of general duty medical officers,
with supporting staff from the department of medicine and general
surgery. This OPD will also have the facility for centralized in
junction and dressings for the patients. The charges for the same will
be deposited at the Research Counter. As mentioned in the previous
section of this document. |
