When to visit a Clinical Immunologist/Rheumatologist:

Any Joint pain/swelling back lasting more than 6 weeks

Joint/Back pain associated with marked stiffness.

Some mis-conceptions corrected:

Joint problems (Arthritis) cannot occur in Children or young people:
In fact, these ages can have serious disease of joints.

Joint diseases cannot be serious: Untreated Arthritis can not only
lead to permanent joint deformities but some serious arthritis like
Lupus, Vacuities can also lead to major complications including
death.

I
cannot get arthritis since no one in my family had it: Arthritis may
have genetic influence but may not necessarily be seen in some
family members at one point in time.
