Introduction

The department of gastroenterology is equipped with the latest generation endoscopes with video facility the hospital has been undertaking a large number of diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower G. I. diagnostic and therapeutic on a regular basis.

Significant number of endoscopic treatment, procedure like E.R.C.P. various ligation have also been successfully performed.

The Gastroenterology work is handled by Dr. Santosh Hazare. M. D., DM, DNB (Gastroenterology) and Dr. Shashikant Y. Kulgod. Other senior staff members are Dr. S. V. Jatti, Dr .l. B. Havannavar and Dr. R. B. Patil.
