For his  abundant professional experience of nearly  20 years in India and abroad, which enriched his academic competence and efficiency, he is given the responsibilities as Chief consultant Diabetologist, Director of  Diabetes Center and Medical Director and Chief  Executive in  KLES Hospital & Medical  Research Center Belgaum, India .

Education

Dr. Mallikarjun V. Jali did M.D. (Internal Medicine) and was very brilliant student throughout his academic career who garnered  Rank/Awards/Certificates including best outgoing student of M. R. Medical College Gulbarga(1977). Dr B. C Roy National Award  Fellowship (1981-82), E' Merck Award Certificate (1982), Young  Scientist's  Award Scheme Certificate (1984), Dr. berry Memorial  Award Certificate (1985), and Dr. R. V. Sathe  Endowment fund Award (1985), After post Graduation  for 2 years (1982-1986).

Professional Experience

• Junior specialist (Medicine) at Kudremukh  hospital (Govt. of India  Undertaking )

• Lecturer in medicine for a year (1986-87) at Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum.

• During 1987-1997, he was Senior Physician & Chief of Diabetes, Deputy Medical Director at N. M. K. Medical Hospital Saudi Arabia.

• He was visiting Physician Fellow at the Joslin Diabetes Center, Harvard University Affiliate, Boston (USA) in 1998.

• Again, he was specialist in Internal Medicine and Diabetes (1999-2000) at the Ministry of health, Riyadh Health Directorate (K. A. S). 

• Later in  2000, he joined the team of prestigious K.L.E.S. Hospital Medical Research Center and Conceptualized a few Diabetes Center with subspecialties under one roof.

Conferences/Seminars/Papers Published

• Recently (2003), he underwent a very important, Diabetes Epidemiological & Bio-statistic Research/Training conducted by "The steno Diabetes center" of Denmark.

• Several papers authored by him were published in Indian/Overseas Journals and he attached many conference/Seminars where he presented papers.

• Recently he is selected for the life membership of the International Diabetes Federation 2003, and

• He participated at the recently held IDF conference in Paris, August 2003.

Awards & Nominations

• Recently  he has been Awarded as PRIYADHARSHANI INDIRA GANDHI  AWARD  FOR Scoring  STRING  OF OUTSTANDING  ACHIEVEMENT  IN  CHOSEN  FIELD OF ACTIVITY in  year 2003.

• He is conferred with an award and memento for his exemplary contribution in building Red Cross Movement in the State.

• Karnataka State Govt. honored him with Prestigious Rajyostawa Award.
