for the production of economic growth and services.
Need for Telemedicine
Telemedicine ensures delivery of,
“Emergency
Medical Care is designed to overcome the factors most commonly
implicated in preventable morality, such as delays in seeking care,
access to health facility and provision of adequate care at the
facility” – W.H.O (2002)
What is Tele-medicine?
“Telemedicine is an
exchange of medical information between two clinical locations using
information and communication technologies for the benefit of accessing
quality health care and continuing medical education.”
Advantages of Telemedicine
This medical
expertise available – anywhere and early institution of appropriate
treatment and effective utilization of transport saves costs to patient
and health care provider.

Telemedicine & Telehealth in simple terms, It is an exchange of medical
